The 898001 Hullavator Pro Lift Assist Kayak Carrier reduces the lift height required to load and unload a kayak by 40". The Hullavator Pro's gas strut system lifts up to 40 pounds of kayak weight and facilitates one-person loading. The Thule 898001 Hullavator Pro can be attached to all Thule Crossbars, including Xsporter and AeroBlade Crossbars. The Thule 898001 Hullavator Pro utilizes 28" of load bar space - leaving plenty of room for other accessories. The Hullavator's lift system functions without any vehicle contact and is capable of carrying kayaks up to 36" wide and weighing 75 lbs. The Thule Hullavator Pro's oversize, integrated padded supports protect your kayak hull while in transit. The Thule 898001 Hullavator Pro includes 2 tie down straps for securing one kayak to the rack, and 2 bow stern tie downs for securing your kayak to the front and rear of your vehicle. 2 Thule Lock Cores may be added to lock the Hullavator Pro to your roof rack (sold separately - see below). Thule Wind Fairings cannot be used with the Hullavator Pro due to mounting interference.
