The Malone mpg132 FoldAway J-Style kayak carrier for car roof racks, offers a combination of affordability and great quality. This kayak carrier is a rock solid system for kayakers trying to save a few dollars. The FoldAway kayak rack includes universal mounting hardware that is compatible with Malone, Yakima, Thule and most factory crossbars. Oversize crossbars may require a 80mm bolt kit (not included - see below). The FoldAway includes one pair of 12 foot heavy-duty cam style load straps to securely fasten your kayak to your rack. The Malone FoldAway kayak rack accommodates most traditional V-bottom kayak types up to 34 inches wide and a maximum of 75 pounds. The Malone FoldAway kayak carrier has a corrosion resistant powder coat finish to provide years of corrosion free use. The integrated foam pads help protect your kayak's finish. With the pull of a quick release lever, the FoldAway-J folds down for better garage and low overhead clearance. In the down position the rack sits about 3.5" off your crossbars.
